A reboot of the story of transporter Frank Martin. Directed by Camille Delamarre and starring Ed Skrein, Loan Chabanol, Lenn Kudrjawizki and Tatiana Pajkovic. The camerawork and editing are commendable, a saving grace for the otherwise not-so-watchable movie. Watch the movie trailer for The Transporter Refueled (2015).But Ray Stevenson caught the short end of the stick as even though he gives an engaging performance as Frank Sr., the script calls for him to become a hopeless spy in order to keep the story going. Ğd Skrein is able to portray his role quite well, however, despite the weak script.Anna and her cohorts have kidnapped his father (Ray Stevenson) in order to coerce Frank into helping them take down a ruthless group of Russian human traffickers. For example, the femme fatale characters who are supposed to be strong women will suddenly switch to being weaklings. When Frank is hired by cunning femme fatale Anna and her three stunning sidekicks, he quickly discovers he’s been played. In fact, some of the characters don't seem to have a set arc. The cast is given no chance to shine as the script doesn't call for much character development. The overly simple plot is made complex and confusing with side plots and action scenes that are only slotted in to make the movie longer but not any better. The Good, the Bad and the Unfueled remake: The Transporter Refueled footage shown in the teaser indicates the screenplay by Bill Collage and Adam Cooper (Exodus: Gods and Kings) does little to re-imagine either the Frank Martin character, his world, or his daily activities.
